IntroductionJob Purpose:To ensure purchase orders are placed accurately and timeously with the vendors and report back to the business on any service delivery issues and ensure speedy resolution to maximize infill.
Job Objectives:
- To liaise with DCs to close purchase orders of the previous delivery day
- To ensure that vendor orders have been placed according to the vendor ordering schedule and manage holiday changes
- To ensure vendors adhere to the vendor nominated day of delivery.
- To liaise with the relevant stakeholders (DC, Vendors, and Category etc.) to resolve replenishment queries to maximise inventory availability
- To collaborate with vendors on inventory exceptions (short/late deliveries, reasons for out of stocks, etc.) and assist with resolving the issues to maximise inventory availability
- To conduct trend analysis and report on poor vendor performance (infill, timeous delivery, etc.) to the Order Flow Manager to enable corrective action to be taken
- To track promotional stock flow by chasing infill and highlight any risk to the business
- To place pipeline/ad hoc orders and track them through the supply chain when required
- To share seasonal projections with the suppliers
- 2 years knowledge of supply chain processes
- 1 years knowledge of buying process
- 2 years knowledge of planning systems
- 1 year knowledge of administration processes
- 1 year knowledge of DC and store operational processes
- 1 year knowledge of forecasting processes
- 1-3 years' experience in supply chain retail environment(Essential)
- 1 year experience working with Just Enough system (Desirable)
