Qualifications- Minimum: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 equivalent
- Preferred: Tertiary qualification in Information Technology/Business Analytics ()/BA/BS in Computer Science
- Advantageous: BI Certification
- 2 - 3 years working experience with SQL Server databases and query language
- Building relational databases
- Writing stored procedures
- 1 year SQL Server Reporting Services; developing report templates and rolling them out for user access
- 1 year experience in building reporting models with visual analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience in the Customer Services industry would be advantageous
- Collaborate with the BI team in preliminary discussions with stakeholders to identify business needs
- Provide input on approaches to solving relevant business problems
- Advise on how to present data to stakeholders to add the most value
- Identify potential process improvements and areas for BI involvement
- Assist with data quality management and rectification
- Review and validate data integrity, quality, and accuracy as it is collected
- Data management steps: data gathering, cleaning, preparation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- Design and produce reports for internal and external stakeholders on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
- Assess client needs and prepare reports with analysis and interpretation
- Enable business improvement by increasing the efficiency of operations and processes
- Complete various data analysis projects to support company activities and plans
- Identify information needs for BI projects and opportunities for new processes
- Develop, test, and implement data-driven (SQL) reports
- Examining Information: analyzes information effectively; asks probing questions
- Interpreting Data: applies technology and numerical data to evaluate problems
