The successful candidate will work under the instruction of the BI Manager to analyse business and client data, compile reports, and build visual models to present information to stakeholders and inform strategic business decisions. Qualifications
  • Minimum: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 equivalent
  • Preferred: Tertiary qualification in Information Technology/Business Analytics ()/BA/BS in Computer Science
  • Advantageous: BI Certification
Experience
  • 2 - 3 years working experience with SQL Server databases and query language
    • Building relational databases
    • Writing stored procedures
  • 1 year SQL Server Reporting Services; developing report templates and rolling them out for user access
  • 1 year experience in building reporting models with visual analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience in the Customer Services industry would be advantageous
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the BI team in preliminary discussions with stakeholders to identify business needs
  • Provide input on approaches to solving relevant business problems
  • Advise on how to present data to stakeholders to add the most value
  • Identify potential process improvements and areas for BI involvement
  • Assist with data quality management and rectification
  • Review and validate data integrity, quality, and accuracy as it is collected
  • Data management steps: data gathering, cleaning, preparation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Design and produce reports for internal and external stakeholders on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
  • Assess client needs and prepare reports with analysis and interpretation
  • Enable business improvement by increasing the efficiency of operations and processes
  • Complete various data analysis projects to support company activities and plans
  • Identify information needs for BI projects and opportunities for new processes
  • Develop, test, and implement data-driven (SQL) reports
