Responsibilities
  • Hiring cleaners, supervisors, and admin staff
  • Preparing contracts and onboarding new staff
  • Keeping employee files up to date
  • Tracking attendance leave sick days
  • Collecting timesheets very important for cleaning staff on different sites
  • Working with payroll or processing wages
  • Handling overtime UIF deductions
  • Late coming Misconduct common in site based work
  • Issuing warnings
  • Running disciplinary hearings
  • Representing the company at the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration if disputes upscale
  • Labor laws contracts working hours leave
  • Health & safety rules important for cleaners using chemicals
  • Resolving conflicts between workers or with supervisors
  • Supporting site managers with HR issues
  • Monitoring staff performance
  • Dealing with underperformance
  • Supporting supervisors with evaluations
  • Ensuring staff are placed correctly at client sites
  • Replacing absent workers quickly
  • Handling client complaints about staff
  • Need to handle all staff hearings and CCMA cases in the company
Inherent Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in HR and Industrial Psychology
  • 3 - 5 Years experience in HR role
  • Know the South African Labor Laws
  • Know the CCMA and Hearing Possesses
  • Need to know payroll and HR systems
  • Need to have strong communication skills and conflict handling
  • Need to be resisted with South African board for people practices
