As a People Consultant, you will report to a People Partner or People Lead and take responsibility for providing comprehensive HR support. You will manage recruitment, selection, and on boarding while overseeing performance management systems and training requirements. This role is vital for maintaining industrial relations and ensuring accurate payroll and benefits administration across your assigned business units.
What you'll be doing- You will identify recruitment needs and create and load advertisements on our recruitment portal.
- You will draw up letters of offer and ensure the completion of full engagement packs for new hires.
- You will coordinate and facilitate the HR component of scorecards within agreed deadlines.
- You will ensure all new engagements are booked for mandatory training and that training plans are updated.
- You will coordinate and monitor the successful implementation of learnerships and bursary applications.
- You will advise line managers on appropriate disciplinary actions and ensure compliance with our disciplinary code.
- You will ensure accurate payroll documentation is sent to the payroll department within agreed deadlines.
- You possess a diploma or degree in human resources at an NQF level 6 or 7.
- You have four to five years of human resources experience specifically within the retail or FMCG sectors.
- You have a strong understanding of industrial relations policies and experience representing a business at the CCMA.
- You possess excellent time management and planning and prioritisation skills.
- You are a strong communicator with the ability to articulate concepts to the wider team and management.
- You demonstrate critical thinking and emotional maturity in all professional interactions.
