Our client in the Manufacturing sector is currently looking to employ a Parts Salesman to join their team based in Kraaifontein Industria, Cape Town.

Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) or higher. Must have experience as truck parts salesman in workshop environment. Code 8 driver's licence. Ability to read and write English. Confident and proactive approach, anticipating client needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service
  • Present, promote, and sell products and services to existing clients
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients
  • Assist clients in identifying the correct parts using catalogues
  • Generate sales estimates, quotes, picking slips, and internal transfer invoices
  • Invoice parts internally and externally according to branch requests
  • Follow up on backorders and provide daily updates to clients
  • Support and Administration: Handle customer complaints and concerns, ensuring maximum satisfaction
  • Participate in weekly management meetings to resolve parts issues
  • Assist with stocktakes as required
  • Standby and after-hours parts sales assistance on a rotational basis
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Parts Manager
