Job Description

A well-established restaurant and premium food store is hiring a Time and Attendance Administratorto join their team for three months,5 hours per day, for 3 days per week. (Ideally Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings.) This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a structured, detail-focused environment and values accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update employee time and attendance records using Jarrison biometric timekeeping system
  • Process daily clock-in and clock-out data and resolve discrepancies or missing entries
  • Monitor staff schedules, shifts, overtime, and leave balances
  • Prepare weekly attendance and overtime reports for payroll and management
  • Assist with shift planning to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Liaise with managers to verify hours and approve necessary adjustments
  • Keep employee records up to date and maintain strict confidentiality
Requirements
  • Experience with Jarrison Time and Attendance software is preferred, or hands-on experience with biometric time and attendance systems such as fingerprint or facial recognition platforms
  • Solid attention to detail and comfort working with data and spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting
  • Ability to work independently, manage sensitive information, and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience with T&A in retail, hospitality, or food service is a plus
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with payroll Sage Evolution
  • Understanding of South African labor regulations around working hours and leave
  • Basic troubleshooting of biometric hardware
  • Flexible part-time schedule: 5 hours per day, 3 days per week - great for work-life balance
