You will work closely with clients to analyse their reward and benefits strategies, design competitive and equitable compensation structures, and develop cost effective and attractive benefits packages.

You will manage project teams within the Reward practice, ensuring delivery of high quality client work, operational efficiency, and team development. The role supports the Reward leadership team by providing analytical expertise, managing day to day client engagements, and contributing to the growth of the practice. The role will be based in Cape Town or Johannesburg with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities Client Delivery & Technical Expertise- Ensure accuracy, insight, and relevance of all analytical outputs.
- Review executive and non executive benchmarking prepared by junior analysts.
- Contribute to development of methodology, databases and templates.
- Prepare and review indicative financial models to demonstrate cost/benefit analysis of variable pay arrangements.
- Perform performance condition testing (e.g., Total Shareholder Return).
- Provide KPI strategy consulting.
- Conduct critical reviews of client's remuneration practices, drafting papers with outcomes and recommendations for new structures.
- Conduct short term and long term incentive review and design.
- Assist clients with the analytical components of remuneration reports.
- Maintain awareness of topical executive reward issues globally and locally, preparing communication material for remuneration committees and providing ongoing advice.
- Manage client relationships and project engagements, overseeing budgets, timelines, and risk management.
- Attend client meetings as required.
- Deliver high quality analytical and advisory work across reward projects (e.g., incentive design, benchmarking, fair pay analysis, transaction related reward matters).
- Provide remuneration committee and client advisory services.
- Assist with remuneration reporting in light of King IV, preparing disclosures for inclusion in annual reports.
- Manage day to day client relationships and act as a key contact on projects.
- Oversee project delivery, budgets, and timelines, escalating risks or issues where necessary.
- Support marketing, targeting, and client acquisition activities.
- Contribute to new product and solution development within the area of expertise.
- Provide input into thought leadership, publications, and client focused events.
- Manage, coach, and develop members of the Analytics team.
- Build team capability, foster collaboration, and ensure a high performance culture.
- Degree in finance, economics, statistics, or related field (postgraduate preferred).
- 2 3 years' experience in reward consulting or a related field, with strong analytical expertise.
- Proven ability to manage client projects and relationships.
- Strong people management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to contribute to business development.
- Ability to deal with multiple demands under tight client deadlines.
