Join our dynamic team at Nursing Services of South Africa! We are seeking experienced and qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) with ophthalmic training to become part of our dedicated team at our Bellville and V&A Waterfront facilities.

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) with valid registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

• 3-5 years of nursing experience, including theatre experience (preferably in ophthalmology or related disciplines).
• Scrubbing experience in ophthalmic surgeries is highly advantageous.
• Experience in other surgical fields is a plus.

• Operating Theatre Nursing certification (Medical & Surgical).
• Anaesthetic training or relevant experience is beneficial but not essential.

• Ability to thrive in high-pressure surgical environments.
• Exceptional communication and patient care skills.
• A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

• Assist in ophthalmic surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment and proper instrument handling.
• Provide exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care for ophthalmic patients.
• Collaborate with the surgical team, including anaesthetists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform scrubbing duties for ophthalmic surgeries, as well as other surgical disciplines where necessary.
• Support and monitor patients under local, regional, or general anaesthesia.
• Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to health and safety standards.
