Our client, a growing and dynamic organization operating across Southern Africa and international markets, is seeking a highly analytical and technically minded Operations Analyst to join their team based in Umhlanga.

This opportunity is ideal for a driven junior professional who is looking to develop within a fast-paced industrial environment while gaining exposure to international supply chains, technical operations, commercial strategy, and customer engagement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational efficiency, logistics execution, product support, and supply chain optimisation across the business.

  • Degree or Diploma in:
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Chemical Technology
    • Analytical Sciences
    • Supply Chain or related technical qualification
  • 1-3 years' experience within:
    • Chemicals
    • Mining
    • Fuels
    • Industrial manufacturing
    • Engineering or related sectors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Commercially aware with a technical mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
  • Resilient, proactive, and solutions-driven
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic operational environment
  • Strong Excel and reporting capability advantageous

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical product support to internal teams and customers
  • Assist with international and local logistics supply chain planning and execution
  • Analyse operational and supply chain data to support business decisions
  • Monitor and navigate supply challenges between suppliers and customers
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to develop alternative product offerings and customer solutions
  • Support cost optimisation and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Engage with technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders across the business
  • Assist with forecasting, reporting, and business analysis functions
  • Travel to customers, suppliers, and industry conferences when required
