Nursery Attendant
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Nursery Attendant is responsible for providing child care during church (worship service and fellowship/Sunday School) for a group of up to 10 infants and toddlers with another attendant or volunteer. The Attendant will also assist with school age students during Sunday School if no infants/toddlers are present. With advanced notice the Attendant may be asked periodically to provide care for a wider range of ages during other church functions outside of Sunday mornings.
Responsibilities:- Provide appropriate care for a group of young children during Sunday morning services. Appropriate care includes ensuring their safety, providing for their needs and fostering an interactive and engaging environment.
- Maintain appropriate lines of communication with the parents concerning their child's activities, needs and behavior.
- Assure that all toys are put away and that the room is orderly upon completion of the child care session.
- When possible, be available (with reasonable prior notification) to provide child care at times other than Sunday morning.
- 18 years of age or older
- Experience working with children, infants - 5 years old
- CPR and First Aid certification (certified or willing to obtain)
- Safe Space training will be required and provided
