A company is seeking an experienced National Shipping Manager to oversee end-to-end international sea freight operations, ensuring efficient shipment movement, customs compliance, cost control, and on-time delivery across South African ports. The ideal candidate should be based in Cape Town, Durban, or Johannesburg.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Maritime Studies (advantageous)
• 8-10 years' experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, sea freight, and import processes
• Understanding of South African customs regulations and port operations
• Experience negotiating with shipping lines and logistics providers
• Knowledge of Durban and Cape Town port operations
• Experience with Ship Shape (advantageous)
• Strong financial, reporting, and reconciliation skills
• Leadership and team management experience
• Excellent organisational and problem solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a high pressure environment
