About the roleWe are seeking a National Facilities Manager to provide specialist advice, assistance, and leadership in any area associated with the procurement, provision, delivery, maintenance in the area of Facilities Management.
What you will bring- Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (BSc or BTech)
- Between 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in facilities or operations management
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- devise operational strategies for Facilities and life-cycle strategies for portfolio assets
- provide ongoing Operational Services and Building Services specialist advice and support to Centre management, staff and relevant stakeholders on:
- Decisions relating to Operational Services and Building Services matters
- New technologies and trends in the market
- Smarter ways of working
- Project specifications
- SLA management and awarding of contracts in the adjudication process
- Capex, abnormal, day-to-day maintenance and operations budgets
- Scoping of Capex items
- 3-year rolling maintenance plan
- High Risk issues
- HR matters; qualifications and skills for Operational Services and Building Services staff, succession planning, recruitment and selection, performance management, competency related training and job descriptions and specifications
- Legislative requirements
- Sustainability projects
- Budgeting and Financial Review of Spend
- Utility Management
- act as the custodian of Operational Services and Building Services policies, procedures and service level agreements and ensure that they are regularly updated.
- act as the custodian of Operational Services and Building Services standards, ensuring that these are regularly updated and that Centre management and staff:
- Are trained
- Provide input into the drafting of the standards
- Compliance with the standards by undertaking regular Audits.
- identify, vet and recommend Operational Services and Building Services vendors in consultation with Centre management.
- manage projects initiated by core and act as oversight for projects run by Centers.
- meet with Centre management and staff on a regular basis and ensure that best practice information is shared across the portfolio.
- represent the Operational Services and Building Services teams in respect of developments, refurbishments and extensions.
- provide leadership to the core competency Operational Services and Building Services teams through:
- Performance Management
- Training and Development
- manage own departmental operational costs
