National Coffee Manager

Red Ember Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is recruiting a National Coffee Manager to join their Gauteng-based team.

This role is office-based and focuses on leading and expanding the national coffee division through sales growth, quality excellence, strong client relationships, and technical development.

Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic expansion of the national coffee division by identifying and executing growth opportunities.
  • Lead and manage national coffee sales initiatives in collaboration with regional managers to achieve targets.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain strong client relationships, including contract negotiation and SLA compliance.
  • Ensure consistent coffee quality standards across all regions, working closely with technicians and operations teams.
  • Design, deliver, and document national training programs and workshops for technicians and staff, ensuring compliance with HR training registers and Enterprise systems.
  • Oversee inventory and stock management to ensure optimal stock levels within SLA requirements.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform pricing, product offerings, and strategic direction.
  • Manage the coffee division budget, monitoring costs while maintaining quality and profitability.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and other business units to align coffee strategy with overall company objectives.
  • Enhance customer experience by implementing service improvement initiatives and addressing customer feedback and complaints effectively.
  • Provide technical coffee expertise and advisory support to operations and regional teams.
  • Professionalise coffee environments nationally, including product offerings, technician tools, depot workshops, and service standards.
  • Drive internal KPIs to ensure all contractual SLAs are consistently achieved across regions.
Requirements
  • Matric (required).
  • 8-10 years' technical experience within the coffee industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a national or multi-regional environment.
  • Relevant qualification in business, hospitality, coffee technology, or sales management (advantageous).
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline-driven approach.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Relationship-building and client management expertise.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
