VUKA Group is looking for a dynamic, creative and highly skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our Mining Review Africa team. This role is perfect for a storyteller who thrives in fast moving environments, has a strong multimedia skillset, and is energised by covering sectors that shape Africa's economic future. You will be at the heart of our content creation, producing compelling written stories, video features, interviews and on site coverage that engage our audiences across digital platforms and live events. • Produce high quality written, video and multimedia content for the mining and power platforms, aligned to editorial and commercial objectives.
• Film, script and edit video segments, including interviews, features, event coverage, studio shoots and on site industry footage.
• Manage the full video production workflow - planning, storyboarding, filming, lighting, audio capture, editing and final packaging.
• Edit video content to broadcast ready quality using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or equivalent).
• Capture still photography and B roll content for stories, campaigns and event coverage.
• Conduct interviews with industry experts, partners and stakeholders, both in person and remotely.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing and events teams to deliver content for web, social media, newsletters and partner campaigns.
• Ensure all content meets VUKA's brand, tone and quality standards.
• Manage deadlines efficiently across multiple concurrent projects.
• Provide on site coverage at VUKA Group events, conferences and industry engagements - locally and internationally.

• 3+ years' experience in journalism, multimedia production or digital content creation.
• Proven expertise in professional video editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar).
• Strong filming skills, including camera operation, lighting, audio setup and field production.
• Excellent writing and interviewing skills with strong editorial judgement.
• Experience producing multimedia content for digital platforms (web, social, newsletters).
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple projects.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel for assignments, including local and international event coverage.
• Own transport essential.

• Knowledge of the mining, energy or industrial sectors.
• Motion graphics or basic animation skills (After Effects or equivalent).
• Photography experience and confidence covering live events.
• Experience within a B2B media or publishing environment.
