Job Description

Job specification:
  • Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent NQF qualifications
  • Valid Blasting Certificate for Metalliferous Mines
  • Minimum 2-3 years' previous experience in Trackless Mining
  • TMM, Conventional Development, Stoping and Hydropower drilling experience
  • Mining Production Supervisor Certificate will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and any other of 11 official languages
  • Computer literacy will be advantageous.
  • South African Driver's License (Code 8-10) essential
  • South African Citizenship
  • Clear Criminal Record
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and best practices within mining section(s).
  • Ensuring that all blasting activities within the designated area of responsibility are efficiently executed and controlled to promote effective production goals and reaching set targets.
  • Ability to plan, supervise, and control subordinates on both stoping and development ends.
  • Ensure equipment and material availability in the area of responsibility in order to optimize production.
  • Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1's safety motto: "Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely.
