Are you a skilled Millwright with strong electrical and mechanical expertise and a passion for keeping production equipment running at peak performance?
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Millwright to maintain and optimise factory equipment, ensuring high levels of efficiency and minimal downtime. This role plays a critical part in achieving equipment availability targets and supporting continuous production operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fault finding, maintenance, installations, and supporting the engineering team to ensure all machinery operates reliably and safely.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Perform mechanical and electrical inspections on production equipment
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on all factory machinery
- Conduct fault finding on electrical circuits and systems
- Complete electrical installations as required
- Execute planned maintenance according to job cards
- Assist Boilermakers and Fitters when needed
- Maintain tools and ensure proper usage and cleanliness
- Support efforts to achieve high equipment availability targets
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Trade Tested Millwright
- 4-5 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- 3+ years' supervisory experience
- Strong technical experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Valid driver's licence and own transport
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
