Monthly Basic Salary (Market related, Negotiable)
Our client based in Airport City, Cape Town is seeking an experienced and hands on Metal Fabrication Floor Supervisor to lead daily production operations in their busy fabrication department. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent technical knowledge, who can ensure workflow efficiency, product quality, and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day to day floor operations, ensuring targets and deadlines are met
- Lead, mentor, and motivate fabrication staff to maintain high performance
- Coordinate job scheduling, material flow, and machine utilization
- Monitor quality standards and compliance with production specifications
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and housekeeping practices
- Work collaboratively with Production Management to optimize productivity
- Assist with training, performance evaluations, and problem solving on the floor
- 5+ years' experience in metal fabrication leadership or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of welding, cutting, machining, and finishing processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast paced production environment
- Safety focused mindset and attention to detail
