Contract Lecturer - Rosslyn Campus

Mechanical Engineering (Tshwane North TVET College). Salary: R214,908 per annum plus 37% in lieu of benefits. Duration: May to July 2022.

Requirements
  • Matric certificate or equivalent plus a suitable M+3 qualification (National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Relevant teaching qualification with at least one year lecturing experience in Mechanical Engineering N1 to N6.
  • Relevant Trade Test Certificate in the respective trade.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • SACE registration.
  • Assessor/moderator qualification - an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of legislation governing the sector.
Duties
  • Conduct classes on the above mentioned subjects.
  • Organise relevant curricular activities to ensure proper learning experience.
  • Assess and record the attainment of learners.
  • Assist with issuing and retrieving textbooks, equipment management.
  • Organise experiential training for students.
  • Report and account for student performance in the programmes.
  • Record and report on absenteeism and perform other relevant duties within teaching and learning.

Successful candidates will be subjected to a vetting and financial disclosure process, and will be required to sign a Performance Agreement.
