Mechanical Engineer

The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the job as summarised below, but not limited to:

• Specification and design of pressure containing equipment
• Preparation of project standards, engineering and technical specifications
• Participating in PFD, P&ID and HAZOP studies
• Assistance in the preparation of MCFDs
• Review of Vendor Documentation to ensure design integrity and compliance with specifications and statutory regulations, codes and standards, and incorporation of vendor information into the design.
• Be a lead engineer on a project.
• Perform professional service estimates

The scope of this role will require the incumbent to work in a projects based environment covering all phases of project execution (feasibility, concept, basic, detail, construction support and commissioning). The individual will engage in mechanical design activities related to producing and checking mechanical engineering deliverables.

• Degree in BSc/ B. Eng Mechanical Engineering
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA

• Proficiency with MS Office suite
• Proficiency with discipline software programs
• Proficiency in the preparation of technical specifications

Should have a minimum of 7 years' relevant design experience in a contracting environment focused on projects in the Petro-Chemical/Chemical industry.
