Mathematics / Natural Science Teacher: Senior Phase

Lion Pride Academy is seeking a dynamic, values-driven Mathematics/Natural Science Teacher to join our team in delivering world-class, CAPS-aligned education infused with entrepreneurial learning. The ideal candidate will inspire learners to master these subjects while developing essential real-world applications.

In addition to traditional Mathematics/Natural Science instruction, the educator will actively integrate entrepreneurial themes into the curriculum. Lessons will not only prepare learners for academic success but also equip them with the language tools to thrive as young entrepreneurs, confident presenters, and effective collaborators.

We are seeking a qualified and innovative Senior Phase Teacher to educate learners in Grades 6-9. This role requires a committed educator with strong curriculum knowledge, classroom leadership, and a passion for learner development during the middle childhood years.

• Plan and present CAPS-aligned lessons in a manner that is engaging and developmentally appropriate.
• Integrate foundational concepts with creative, real-world applications.

• Develop and administer formative and summative assessments.
• Provide academic support and progress updates.

• Foster a disciplined, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment.
• Promote independent thinking, collaboration, and respect.

• Contribute to the school's co-curricular programme.
• Engage with colleagues and leadership to support school initiatives.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and mentorship opportunities.

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Senior Phase OR a relevant degree with PGCE.
• Registered with SACE and holds a current police clearance.
• Deep understanding of the CAPS curriculum and child development.
• Proven ability to plan engaging lessons and manage a structured classroom.
• Proficient in English with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
