Job Description

To support our Production & Education team in the development of high-school level Mathematics blended learning content for our various educational offerings, and the teaching and delivery of lessons to learners.

Desired Results
  • Develop new Mathematics blended learning content
  • Contribute to the maintenance of our existing online and printed learning content materials
  • Delivery of in-person and online live lessons
  • Report data is accurately captured to enable accurate reporting & helpful changes to processes and products
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of high school Mathematics teaching or tutoring experience
  • Excel in classroom teaching contexts
  • Be an expert in Core Mathematics and AP Mathematics or an expert in Mathematics up to A-levels for the UK curriculum
  • Hold a diploma in Education or a Mathematics-oriented degree
  • Ability and willingness to work across subject domains, particularly within the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Sound understanding of learning design principles, strategies of online learning and commonly used digital learning components for teaching and assessment
  • Confidence in managing digital learning resources and navigating online learning management systems
  • Excellent computer literacy and document processing skills, particularly using (but not limited to) Microsoft Word and Google Suite
  • Experience teaching, tutoring or supporting the delivery of live online lessons
  • Understanding and application of basic User Experience Design principles as they relate to online learning content development
  • Willing to constantly learn and improve on teaching ability
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively and proactively in a team environment
  • Analytical and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and innovation readily and effectively

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to quality standards and sound learning design principles to develop engaging and effective Mathematics blended learning content
  • Work effectively with other subject matter experts and lead junior team members in Mathematics content development
  • Use digital content development tools and content management systems such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Suite, Vimeo, Zoom, Google Suite and our own LMS
  • Maintain and improve existing print and online learning content
  • Work with the broader team to ensure a streamlined user experience of learning content on the LMS
Teaching
  • Assessment, marking & feedback delivery to learners
  • Engagement with parents around learners' progress when necessary
  • Collaboration with our Production & Education team and Operations team to maintain and improve the quality of lesson delivery
  • Basic administrative tasks related to lesson delivery
Reporting
  • Data capturing for reporting
