Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Handle and operate equipment safely in warehouse operations.
- Report unsafe conditions and acts.
- Receive materials and dispatch material as instructed.
- Ensure warehouse checks and equipment checks are done and records updated in a timely manner before any tasks resume.
- Daily checklists for company vehicles are completed.
- Report on all issues, safety, equipment and any other issues.
- Participate in daily planning discussions, understand and execute functions.
- Ensure loading, offloading, and storage are done with care.
- Operate forklifts safely, especially when reversing, and avoid speeding and be aware of surroundings.
- When goods are sampled, ensure proper labeling and recording in the lab and on the sample.
- Affix QC approved/reject labels.
- Use wheel shocks when loading and offloading vehicles.
- Ensure loads are strapped or tied down.
- Stack goods appropriately: up to four drums on a pallet, single drums on a pallet or floor.
- Store goods as per compatibility chart.
- Check reach truck batteries, fill adequately, and put on charge.
- Maintain neat and tidy work areas.
- After picking goods, ensure goods are cleaned.
- Clear transit storage area in a timely manner.
- Issue raw materials from EX01 correctly with paperwork completed.
- Prepare and issue raw materials and packaging to production as per work orders.
- Grade 12 - High school graduate.
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics - advantageous.
- Experience with handling chemicals in warehouse.
- Reach truck and forklift operation of 1-2 years.
- Basic calculation skills.
- Ability to handle and resolve conflict.
- Ability to utilize and delegate work to subordinates.
