Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 (essential)Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role Previous experience in a Wine/Liquor department or managing a retail departmentKnowledge of liquor products, trends, and responsible trading requirementsExperience working with SAP or similar retail systems (advantageous) Key Competencies: Ability to read and interpret operational and sales reportsAchieving results through othersPlanning, organising, and follow-throughStrong adherence to standards, policies, and SOPsCustomer-focused mindsetClear communication and active listening skillsBusiness-minded with strong commercial awareness Key Responsibilities: Merchandising Management Execute the approved plano guide 100% in line with company standardsEnsure correct stock rotation in accordance with SOPs on the sales floor and in back-up areasMaintain merchandising, cleanliness, and presentation standards throughout the trading dayImplement promotional space standards and action all promotional communications accuratelyEnsure back-up areas are maintained to standard, with all stock represented on the sales floorIdentify and escalate ongoing stock availability issues to the Store ManagerEnsure Health & Safety standards and processes are followed at all timesUnderstand customer needs and communicate insights to Demand Planning Systems & Stock Management Conduct gap scanning to identify out-of-stocks and over-stocksIdentify, count, record, and report stock discrepancies accuratelyExtract Excel reports from SAP and complete required stock reporting for Demand PlanningProcess IDTs via SAP in line with SOPsAction "reduce to clear" processes accurately on SAPRegularly monitor and respond to electronic communications during the workday Customer Service Management Deliver excellent customer service in line with brand standardsHandle customer complaints and special requests professionally and timeouslyAdvise customers on liquor products, trends, and promotions People Management & Development Evaluate performance of direct reports against agreed objectives and standardsReview staffing requirements and provide input into staff scheduling and rosteringCommunicate new initiatives, store updates, and department performance to staffMotivate, coach, and develop employees to achieve operational and sales targetsIdentify training needs and support continuous development Finance & Administration Ensure all equipment is maintained in effective working orderMonitor and maintain general maintenance standards within the departmentControl departmental expenses in line with budget expectationsMonitor financial results and investigate deviations from budgetManage waste and ensure adherence to waste control procedures Closing Date: 27 March 2026 If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
