About Our ClientOur Client is a dynamic group of companies operating primarily in property development. The Management Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple group entities and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Role PurposeThe Management Accountant is responsible for processing financial information for the group, ensuring that month-end procedures and processes are completed accurately, and preparing management accounts on a monthly basis. This role will provide critical financial insights to support business decisions and assist the finance team with analyses, reporting, and ad hoc projects as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-3 years' experience in accounting or management accounting (ideally within property development)
- Proficiency in Xero is essential; experience with Smartsheets and QuickBooks is advantageous
- Prepare monthly management accounts for all entities within the group
- Ensure month-end close procedures are completed accurately and on time
- Process and reconcile financial transactions across multiple entities
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Support financial reporting, including key performance metrics for management
- Provide ad hoc analyses and assist with special finance projects as needed
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and statutory requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audit preparation
- Liaise with other departments to gather financial information and provide actionable insights
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently or collaboratively
- Basic understanding of property development accounting is a plus
