It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!Ensures that the plant is mechanically operational at all times WHAT YOU WILL DO: Maintenance Scheduling Do planned maintenance scheduling, update schedules and sign off on completed schedulesConduct plant inspections, and issue unplanned maintenance schedulesIssue job cards and maintenance schedules.Approval of all engineering spares, within budgetEnsure quality maintenance is done on maintenance day. CAPEX budgets Understand the plant needs and do CAPEX budget planning (5 year plan)Complete and submit CPAEX motivations as per Tiger requirements People Management Promote a high performance culture.Engage regularly with employees through invocoms, union engagements.Identify and develop Talent and competency gap closing actions.Ensure training is undertaken as per PDP'sEnsure workplace discipline and manage ER issues in line with Tiger Brands policies and procedures. Health, Safety and Environment Ensure and maintain safe working conditions for employees and equipment based on risk assessments and compliance with OHSAct.Instill an environmentally conscious mindset within the manufacturing environment (H2O, noise pollution, utilities, landfill) Quality Equipment setting as per SOPProcess check alignmentHygieneEquipment cleaningRoot cause analysis and preventative actionsSelf-assessments on all Tiger standards (Hygiene, cleaning and sanitation, traceability, allergens) Audits Engineering auditRisk auditEnvironmental audit (ISO 14001)DQS auditBMR audit Finance Understand cost driversDevelop cost saving strategiesUnderstand Cost Per Loaf (CPL), difference between budget and actual, and develop plan of action to recoverManage stock movement procedure, book out spares on job cards only, conduct stock takes.Accurate and timely reporting (Supply Chain, environmental, scorecard) Instrument calibrations Electrical and mechanical operation Ensure specialised equipment is operating correctly (scaling weights, water and dough temperatures, mixer energy watt hour calibrations)Ensure adherence to process SOP'sDMS reporting - draw all reports for scorecardsConduct root cause analysis for all breakdownsDrive implementation of PM pillar of MECP Drive LTIFR SBO'sNear missesEssential spares to be reviewed and available WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE: Qualifications Degree / National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Trade Test (Millwright / Electrician) is highly advantageous. GCC (Factories) advantageous. Experience Minimum 8-10 years' maintenance experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment. At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role. Proven experience managing high-speed production equipment. Experience in food manufacturing or bakery operations preferred. accordance with the employment equity plan of Tiger Brands and its employment equity goals and targets, preference may be given, but is not limited, to candidates from under-represented designated groups.
