PositionMaintenance Manager reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, in a plant of the Techniplas Group.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate all preventative and reactive maintenance activities, as well as all facility maintenance, inspections etc.
- Ensure the critical spares inventory is accurately maintained and aligned with the plant s operational requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely procurement and delivery of spare parts, consumables, and services.
- Drive a culture of accountability and performance within the maintenance team through clear leadership and structured team management.
- Staff development.
- Administer and manage all maintenance related documentation, reports, and planning tools, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
- Develop and monitor weekly and monthly maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and ensure production readiness.
- Maintain accurate records on our CMMS systems, namely CheckMate and Profile (e.g. job cards, asset register, downtime reports, and PM schedules)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and technical teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support CAPEX and OPEX planning and assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment where necessary.
- Manage and set up SLAs with various service providers.
- Oversee all CIP initiatives for the maintenance department
- A BTech degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or a related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years in plant maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Prior experience in automotive or injection moulding manufacturing as advantages.
- Strong working knowledge of injection moulding machines, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics.
- Proficient with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage spares inventory and liaise effectively with suppliers and contractors.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and administrative skills.
- Valid driver license and willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies or breakdowns.
