Job Description

  • Perform general cleaning, repair, and maintenance work inside and around the building
  • Report any defects, damage, or broken items on the premises
  • Receive and supervise contractors during working hours and after hours (including weekends) for repairs, installations, or maintenance
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, gas cylinders, and emergency equipment
  • Assist with moving tables, chairs, and other items for staff meetings and staff functions
  • Support fleet management by completing and updating vehicle inspection checklists
  • Carry out basic repairs to aluminium doors, frames, and windows
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks and minor electrical repairs where required
  • Apply safety rules and procedures when working with contractors and during all maintenance activities
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience in building maintenance
  • Matric certificate is a minimum requirement
  • Valid EB driver's licence
  • Safety training will be an advantage
  • Good computer skills (MS Office)
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Proactive approach and behaviour
