Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensurethat predictive & preventive maintenance is effectively performed tominimize downtime & maintenance costs.
  
• Attendto machine breakdowns as quickly as possible to minimize downtime.
  
• Ensurethat safety standards are maintained & best practices followed whenmaintaining equipment.
  
• Solveproblems as they arise & ensure that any major problems have beencommunicated to the manager ASAP.
  
• Managecritical spares to minimize downtime due to equipment breakdown.
  
• Fixdamaged or warn parts to be put back into production to save money on spareswherever possible.
  
• Controlall relevant tools & critical spares so that they are available whenneeded.
  
• Maintainhousekeeping standards to prevent accidents or incidents.
  
• Maintaindocumentation & records for traceability & analysis purposes
  
• Provideinput to the improve on current machinery and operation to optimized cost.
  
• Actas a mentor & coach to uplift people, improve motivation & provide lifeskills.
  
• Facilitateperformance management & disciplinary processes.
  
• Conducttraining as & when required to ensure skills transfer & enableempowerment.
  
• Performroutine assessments & trade tests on apprentices & learners in the Departmentthroughout their training period.
  

• Minimum5 years practical experience within engineering environment after trade tested.
  
• Computerliteracy
  
• Candidatesmust be willing and able to learn
  
• Musthave good problem-solving and communication skills
  
• Musthave a good attendance record from previous employer
  
• Able to work flexible hours, standby and weekendwork
