Maintenance Fitter Assistant
Port Elizabeth

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on industrial machinery
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to required operational and safety standards
  • Accurately complete maintenance reports, records, and inspections
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures in a fast-paced industrial environment
Requirements
  • Trade-tested qualification (Red Seal preferred)
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a maintenance or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
