SSK currently has the following career opportunity in its Property Maintenance department in Swellendam. We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Assistant who will report to the Maintenance Manager. As the Maintenance Assistant, you will support daily inspection of buildings and the prompt repair of common defects, such as broken equipment, lights, doors, and windows.

Responsibilities
  • Daily inspection of buildings and facilities.
  • Repairing broken equipment, lights, doors, windows, etc.
  • Daily inspection of tools and completion of inspection reports.
Requirements
  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • 2-5 years of experience in Property Maintenance or a similar role.
  • Technical training or experience in electrical work, plumbing, construction, carpentry, painting, or general maintenance is an advantage.
  • A valid Driver's License (Code 8 or 10) is essential.
  • Knowledge of transportable tools and the ability to use equipment safely.

The candidate must be willing to work overtime and on weekends. You must also be willing to work away from home for periods as required by the workload.
