Job Description

Main purpose of the role:

To provide a professional, efficient and effective handyman service that enhances the appearance of the facility and enables the effective functioning of the Company's premises.

Requirements
  • Grade 10.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a handyman.
  • Tools skills
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrics, carpentry and general building maintenance
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Able and willing to work irregular hours
  • Trouble shooting abilities
  • Knowledge of electrical
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Physical fitness
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all day-to-day maintenance work in and around the group offices and buildings.
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others around you when working.
  • Ensure tools comply with safety regulations.
  • Ensure safe and clean workshops and working areas on floors;
  • Inspect mechanical operations of security doors on a regular base and report or fix immediately;
  • Inspections of Tools and identify and record warned maintenance equipment;
  • Fix or change the necessary fixtures and fittings of the building as required;
  • Keep record and report monthly on all work completed;
  • Assist with office moves;
  • Keep track of stock that is used or required;
  • Assist various business units with general handyman work as required;
  • Notify the Facilities team leader or property manager when an external contractor will need to be contacted; and
  • Work with contractors.
