We are seeking an exceptional Luxury Tour Driver & Cultural Guide to join our Cape Joy team in Cape Town. This is far more than a driving role - it's an opportunity to become a true ambassador of luxury hospitality.

You will host discerning international guests in a premium 9-seater luxury vehicle , delivering a seamless, elegant, and highly personalised travel experience through one of the world's most iconic destinations.

Your Role: Excellence in Motion
  • Master Driver - Deliver a superior driving experience with exceptional "soft-touch" control. Smooth acceleration, braking, and cornering are essential to ensure guests enjoy a safe and comfortable journey.
  • Cultural Storyteller - Bring Cape Town to life through engaging and insightful commentary. Share the rich history, culture, and stories behind the region's iconic landmarks and destinations.
  • Gesture of Service - Provide a luxury guest experience from start to finish. Anticipate guest needs, maintain a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism and discretion.
  • Vehicle Preparation & Care - Conduct a full pre-shift vehicle inspection and ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled and stocked with guest amenities. Maintain vehicle cleanliness during guest stops by tidying the cabin and restocking refreshments. Report any mechanical issues, damage or maintenance needs promptly to management.
Requirements
  • Licensing
    • Valid Code 10 (C1) or Code 14 (EC) driver's license
    • Valid Public Driver's Permit (PrDP) with P-Category endorsement
  • Experience
    • Minimum 4 years' experience in:
    • Luxury tourism
    • Boutique or high-end travel
  • Local Expertise
    • Strong knowledge of Cape Town, the Cape Winelands, and surrounding scenic routes
  • Certification
    • A Tourist Guide certificate will be a strong advantage
  • Personal Attributes
    • Communication - German, French, or Dutch are highly advantageous
    • Professionalism - Impeccably presented, punctual, and articulate. Comfortable interacting with high-profile guests. Highly discreet with strong attention to privacy and service standards.
Pre-Screening Application Process
  • Submit a detailed CV highlighting your experience in luxury tourism or VIP driving.
  • Attach clear copies of:
    • Driver's License
    • Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
  • Record a short audio introduction that includes:
    • Welcoming a group of high-profile guests onto a luxury vehicle (in English)
    • If applicable, introduce yourself again in your second language (German, French, or Dutch)
