About the Role

African Safari Group is seeking a Luxury Safari Travel Consultant with hands-on bush or lodge experience. If you've worked as a ranger, lodge manager, or in a similar safari-focused role and have a basic understanding of sales and the travel industry, this is your opportunity to transition into a client-facing, fully remote sales role.

You'll be selling directly to clients, converting enquiries into memorable luxury safari experiences, mainly focused on South African lodges and destinations. This role is perfect for someone who combines practical safari knowledge with strong client service and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings for South African lodges and safari experiences
  • Use your bush/lodge experience to advise clients on safari itineraries, logistics, and lodge operations
  • Manage client communication, quotes, and bookings efficiently using internal systems
  • Support the smooth coordination between clients, lodges, and suppliers
  • Provide a high level of service while managing multiple clients and bookings simultaneously
Must-Have Requirements
  • Practical bush or lodge experience (e.g., ranger, lodge manager, or equivalent)
  • Basic sales experience and understanding of the travel industry
  • Computer literate and comfortable using software to manage bookings and client communications
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Confident, professional, and client-focused
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of South African safari lodges, destinations, and logistics
  • Experience in luxury or high-end travel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
