Lifeguard - Luxury All-Inclusive Safari Lodge - Northern KwaZulu-Natal

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity for a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join a luxury all-inclusive safari lodge in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. This role is ideal for a safety-conscious individual who is passionate about guest wellbeing and maintaining a secure and enjoyable pool and recreational environment within a high-end hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities Pool Safety & Guest Protection
  • Monitor swimming pool and surrounding recreational areas at all times
  • Ensure guest safety and enforce pool rules and regulations
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents
  • Provide first aid and emergency assistance when required
Vigilance & Risk Management
  • Maintain constant awareness of guest activity in and around the pool area
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards immediately
  • Ensure safe usage of all water-based and leisure facilities
  • Conduct regular checks of pool conditions and equipment
Area Maintenance & Presentation
  • Ensure pool area is clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times
  • Assist with setup of loungers, towels, and guest amenities
  • Check pool cleanliness and water quality standards
  • Report maintenance issues to management promptly
Guest Interaction & Service
  • Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests
  • Offer guidance and support regarding pool safety
  • Maintain a calm, approachable, and service-oriented presence
  • Enhance guest experience while prioritising safety
Requirements
  • First Aid and CPR certification (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar role advantageous
  • Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
  • Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
