The International Hotel School Johannesburg Campus issearching for a Patisserie Lecturer. The purpose of this role is to teach andshare your passion for the culinary industry with eager young students; helpingthem grow individually, and ultimately playing a role in their career paths andsuccess in life. You will be responsible for:

  • Conduct theorylectures and kitchen pastry practical sessions
  • Ensure a passrate of 85% and throughput rate of 90% is achieved
  • Student tracking,counselling and support
  • Input towardscurriculum development and improvement
  • Apply assessmentprinciples as per assessor code of conduct
  • Industry timeand research
  • Taking the leadon all Competitions
  • In charge ofPastry Based Excursions for the students
Requirements

- Minimum NQF 5 qualification in the hospitalityindustry

- City and Guilds Diploma in Food Prep and Cooking& Patisserie

- CATHSSETA scoping - Unit 73292 is a requirement

- Assessors and Moderators certificate

- Certified to conduct outcome-based assessment

- Minimum 5 years Pastry experience

- Minimum 2 years lecturing / teaching/assessor

- Experience in a managerial position isneeded
