Lecturer- Logistics
Job Description
The core purpose of this academic post is to lecture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct and publish research within the discipline of Logistics, supervise postgraduate students, as well as deal with administrative work within the Department of Logistics and the broader University.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS- Facilitate learning and teaching for modules offered in the Department of Logistics (via physical contact sessions, as well as online sessions).
- Conduct and publish research.
- Supervise postgraduate students.
- Perform academic administration duties.
- In-depth theoretical knowledge and application of the Logistics principles.
- Facilitate learning and teaching at undergraduate and experience at postgraduate level
- Ability to contribute to knowledge creation through research and publications.
- Administer modules to large numbers of students.
In order to be considered for the above post, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Must be in possession of a Masters degree in Logistics.
- Holding or working towards a PhD qualification in Logistics would be an added advantage.
- Have relevant experience in lecturing various Logistics modules at undergraduate levels. Experience at postgraduate level will be an added advantage.
- Have at least two years relevant and / or work-related lecturing or industry related experience in Logistics.
- Publications in accredited journals and conference proceeding will be a strong recommendation.
