Job Description
Lycopodium Africa is seeking a suitably qualified & experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our dynamic, growing team in Cape Town.

The tasks you'll perform- Coordinate and integrate multidisciplinary engineering inputs to ensure technical alignmentacross all design packages.
- Review, track, and manage engineering deliverables to meet project schedule, budget, andquality requirements.
- Ensure design adherence to client specifications, industry codes, and regulatoryrequirements.
- Support development of engineering standards, design criteria, specifications, and technicaldocuments.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project execution plans, schedules, and engineeringwork breakdowns.
- Support scope definition, change control management, and interface resolution betweendisciplines and stakeholders.
- Interface with vendors to clarify technical requirements, review vendor data, and ensurecompliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate vendor document reviews and manage integration of vendor information intodesign deliverables.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning
- Ensure engineering deliverables integrate safety in design principles and risk reductionmeasures.
- Promote compliance with SANS and international design codes and standards
- Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or the equivalent from a reputable institution.
- 10 - 20 years postgraduate experience in a similar position.
- Registration as an ECSA Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist isadvantageous.
- South African Citizen of Permanent Resident
- Cape Town based
- Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.

- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
