Our client within the Agricultural sector is looking to appoint a Laboratory Technician within their Animal Production department. Based in the Bloemfontein branch. This role combines artificial insemination (AI) support, semen laboratory processes, administration, nitrogen handling and client interaction.

  • BSc Degree in Animal Science, Animal Health, Genetics or related field
  • AI certification or experience
  • Knowledge of bovine reproductive anatomy
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Willingness to work in laboratory and farm environments
  • Internal company training will be provided
  • The role will develop as skills and experience grow in the position
  • Artificial insemination (AI) procedures and reproductive support
  • Semen handling, storage, thawing and nitrogen tank management
  • Laboratory administration including invoicing, record keeping and reporting
  • Fluent client communication and relationship management
  • Biosecurity, hygiene and facility maintenance
  • Marketing support and field assistance
