Our client within the Agricultural sector is looking to appoint a Laboratory Technician within their Animal Production department. Based in the Bloemfontein branch. This role combines artificial insemination (AI) support, semen laboratory processes, administration, nitrogen handling and client interaction.
- BSc Degree in Animal Science, Animal Health, Genetics or related field
- AI certification or experience
- Knowledge of bovine reproductive anatomy
- Valid Drivers license
- Willingness to work in laboratory and farm environments
- Internal company training will be provided
- The role will develop as skills and experience grow in the position
- Artificial insemination (AI) procedures and reproductive support
- Semen handling, storage, thawing and nitrogen tank management
- Laboratory administration including invoicing, record keeping and reporting
- Fluent client communication and relationship management
- Biosecurity, hygiene and facility maintenance
- Marketing support and field assistance
