Since opening our doors in 2005, Amisfield Restaurant has become an essential destination for all those seeking a revered wine and food experience in Central Otago. As testimony to this, we are proud to again be named the Cuisine Magazine's Restaurant of the Year for the third year running, Sustainable Vineyard of the Year at the 2023 New Zealand Organic Wine Awards and the RIEDEL Organic Winery of the Year in both 2022 and 2020.

Our lunch & evening menus are a collaboration between a group of passionate chefs striving to make great food. Their dishes represent the work of a small group of fisherman, hunters, gatherers and farmers. By bringing their products together to epitomize the tastes of Central Otago, we highlight the relationship between the raw produce and the finished product in ways seldom seen. This philosophy plays an important part to a mission of welcoming guests to our restaurant for a dining experience that will excite, challenge, entertain and satisfy like no one else.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Kitchenhand to join our innovative, energetic & fun kitchen team. You are a vital part of our operation, washing the dishes and ensuring our busy kitchen is kept clean and hygienic.

About You

We are looking for a kitchenhand who can bring to the following skills and attributes to the table will be:

  • Experience in a similar/manual role
  • An understanding of commercial kitchens
  • Interested in NZ cuisine
  • You must be energetic, willing to work hard and learn quickly
  • You will be looking for other things that you could do - this can help expand your skills and you could learn some great stuff!
  • You will be in New Zealand already or about to arrive as we are keen on an immediate start
  • You will need to have NZ citizenship/residency or a valid work permit
