Key Accounts Executive

Are you a commercially sharp, strategic Key Accounts professional with strong FMCG experience?

A growing and dynamic business within the retail supply space is seeking a Key Accounts Executive to drive strategic direction across major national retail accounts.

This is a senior, high-impact role focused on pricing strategy, product positioning, promotions, listings, and long-term category growth. You will oversee and direct key retail relationships across major national chains, working closely with internal sales, marketing, and new product development teams.

This role involves regular travel locally (Johannesburg, Cape Town) as well as regional travel into neighbouring countries when required.

• Develop and execute Key Account strategies across major retail groups
• Drive pricing, product, promotional and listing strategies
• Manage and grow relationships with national retail accounts (PnP, Spar, Boxer, OK and similar)
• Identify category growth opportunities across expanding product ranges (Stationery, Party, DIY, Toys, Kitchenware, Pets, Nail Care, etc.)
• Work closely with Marketing and New Product Development teams
• Analyse performance data to inform strategy and drive measurable growth
• Lead commercial negotiations and business development initiatives
• Travel nationally and regionally to manage key client relationships

• BComm Degree in Marketing, commerce or similar
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Senior Sales / Key Account Management
• Minimum 3 years' FMCG experience Proven track record of business development within major retail groups
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate plans into measurable results
• Own vehicle and valid driver's license
• Willingness to travel (3-5 days every second week)
• Bright, driven, and relationship-focused sales professional
