A Beautiful Lodge and Safari Destination is seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to fill the dual role of Junior Professional Hunter and Farm Hand . This entry-level position is designed for an individual with an ownership mentality who is eager to build a career in the professional hunting and conservation industry while assisting with the essential daily operations of a working game farm.

Key Responsibilities Professional Hunting & Guest Relations:
  • Assist senior PHs with guided hunts, including tracking, spotting, and game recovery.
  • Manage trophy handling, field skinning, and delivery to taxidermists.
  • Conduct guest transfers and host clients at the lodge.
  • Maintain firearm safety and strictly adhere to hunting ethics and provincial legislation.
Farm Management & Maintenance:
  • Supervise general farm workers and daily labor tasks.
  • Conduct maintenance on waterholes, fences, roads, and farm infrastructure.
  • Maintain and operate farm machinery, including tractors and 4x4 vehicles.
  • Assist with wildlife monitoring and game captures.
Requirements
  • Licensing: Valid Professional Hunter (PH) License is essential.
  • Firearms: Must possess valid firearm competency (Business Purposes) and own hunting rifles.
  • Education: A diploma in Nature Conservation, Agriculture, or Wildlife Management is highly advantageous.
  • Mechanical Skills: Proven aptitude for basic welding, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
  • Communication: Fluent in English and Afrikaans with a professional, extroverted personality.
  • Logistics: Valid Driver's License (Code 8/B required; Code 10/C1 preferred).
  • Certifications: Valid First Aid Level 1 certificate
  • Market related salary based on experience.
