Our client based in Bellville is looking for a Junior Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing - Manage and process payroll for weekly and monthly employees.
  • Compliance - Ensure adherence to labour laws, payroll regulations, and best practices.
  • Record Keeping - Maintain accurate payroll records, attendance, and overtime reports.
  • Employee Support - Resolve payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Reporting - Generate payslips, compile payroll summaries, and distribute reports to departments.
  • Process Improvement - Identify and recommend ways to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leave Management - Ensure all leave requests are approved and captured correctly on the system.
  • Clock System - Manage clocking data and clear exceptions daily to prepare for payroll import.
  • Onboarding and Exits - Load new employees and process terminations timeously.
  • Filing and Documentation - Maintain organized records and employment contracts.
  • UIF Management - Handle UIF documentation for applicable cases (e.g., maternity, dismissal).
  • Ad hoc Support - Assist the HR & Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Administrator as required.
Requirements
  • Matric essential; Payroll or HR qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of payroll experience (Sage 300 People experience advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of South African tax regulations and payroll principles.
  • Experience with clocking systems such as Kronos or Jarrison is beneficial.
