Junior Menswear Designer Overview

A highly successful and growing fashion supplier is looking for a Junior Menswear Designer to join their expanding design team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded designer to contribute to a fast-paced environment, working across a wide range of jersey products for key retail customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend customer meetings and work closely with the team to interpret and develop customer briefs
  • Design and develop commercial menswear jersey ranges aligned with customer requirements and current market trends
  • Conduct in-depth trend and market research, including inspiration shopping trips
  • Carry out competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities and emerging trends
  • Create detailed tech packs to support product development and ensure accurate sampling
  • Produce clear and commercially focused CAD designs and presentations
  • Liaise closely with overseas factories and suppliers to support the development process

About You

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar role within menswear or jersey product design. You will be highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A keen commercial eye and awareness of current fashion trends
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
