Reports to: HR Manager
Employment Type: Permanent

Job Purpose
The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing effective training and development initiatives across the organisation. The role includes conducting all new staff orientation and onboarding training, skills and workplace assessments, development of engaging online learning content, and providing ad hoc support to the HR department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learning & Development: Conduct skills-based assessments to identify individual and organisational training needs.
  • Facilitate and support workplace assessments.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training interventions.
  • Create engaging online learning material and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate training records and reports.
Orientation & Onboarding
  • Plan and conduct all new employee orientation and onboarding training.
  • Ensure new staff understand company policies, procedures, systems, and culture.
Training Delivery
  • Facilitate internal training sessions and workshops.
  • Support ongoing employee development initiatives.
HR Support
  • Assist the HR department with ad hoc HR-related tasks.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Learning and Development or HR.
  • BCom Degree or similar in HR or related field.
  • Experience in skills-based and workplace assessments.
  • Training facilitation experience.
Added Advantage
  • Specialisation or certification in Learning and Development.
