An entry level to junior role supporting the development, configuration, and support of API and integration services using IBM WebSphere DataPower. The role works under senior guidance and focuses on learning enterprise integration, API security, and middleware operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in configuring IBM DataPower services (MPGW, WSP, XML Firewall)
  • Support REST and SOAP API integrations
  • Apply basic security configurations (SSL/TLS, certificates, authentication)
  • Develop simple transformations using GatewayScript, XSLT, or XQuery
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues in non production and production environments
  • Work closely with senior engineers and follow established integration standards
Requirements Required Technical Skills
  • Basic understanding of IBM DataPower or API gateways
  • REST and SOAP fundamentals
  • XML / JSON message formats
  • Introductory knowledge of GatewayScript, XSLT, or XQuery
  • Awareness of API security concepts
  • Willingness to learn troubleshooting and support tools
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to IBM API Connect
  • Understanding of SOA or integration concepts
  • Git-based source control and Jira
Experience & Profile
  • 0-2 years' experience in middleware, integration, or API development
  • Internship, graduate, or junior enterprise exposure acceptableStrong learning mindset and attention to detail
