Introduction

To work as part of a shift-based team, providing first line support to production, process and engineering department. Responsible for ensuring plant reliability through effective fault diagnosis, maintenance, and continuous improvement to maximise equipment availability.

Responsibilities
  • Fault-finding of instrumentation controlloops, using the DCS/SCADA systems and relevant tools.
  • Maintenance of instrumentation in the plant, performing schedules, section checks, reporting defects.
  • Calibration, installation, servicing and overhauling of a wide variety of industrial process instruments.
  • Working closely with and providing first line response support to Production and Process Teams.
  • Monitoring backlogs and open job cards.
  • Closing off completed job cards.
  • Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Housekeeping Environmental and Quality Standards and Regulations, and the reporting of deviations.
  • Ensuring that instrumentation and electrical installation and maintenance standards and procedures are adhered to.
Qualifications
  • 2 years experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry or related.
  • Understanding of Process Control Loops.
