A Private Reserve is seeking a passionate and professional Junior Field Guide to join our team in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains. This is an exceptional opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career guide to work within a prestigious 40,000-acre conservation and luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities- Guided Experiences: Lead morning and afternoon game drives, sharing in-depth knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, and local history.
- Guest Interaction: Host and engage with international guests, providing a world-class luxury safari experience from check-in to check-out.
- Safety & Security: Ensure guest safety at all times during outdoor activities and adhere strictly to reserve protocols.
- Operational Support: Assist with vehicle maintenance, equipment preparation, and general lodge duties as required.
- Conservation: Support reserve management, wildlife monitoring, and conservation initiatives.
- Qualifications: NQF 2 Field Guide.
- Certifications: Valid First Aid certificate and CATHSSETA/DEAT registration.
- Licensing: Valid Code 8 Driver's License with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Age & Profile: Ideally between 21-35 years old, presentable, and a clear communicator.
- Skills: Strong command of English; additional foreign languages are a significant advantage.
- Attributes: Hardworking, professional, and passionate about conservation and high end hospitality.
- Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- Accommodation: Live in accommodation provided on the property.
- Meals: Daily staff meals provided while on duty.
