Junior Chef

Property Type: Luxury Lodge

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience (live-in)

A luxury lodge in the Cederberg region is seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Chef to join its kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef eager to learn, develop culinary skills and grow within a professional hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef with daily food preparation and service.
  • Prepare ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.
  • Assist with stock control, food storage and kitchen organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Help maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods.

Requirements

  • Culinary qualification or relevant kitchen experience.
  • Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
