The Project Interns will be part of the enke: Programs Team, which is overseen by the Head of Programs. The interns will report directly to Program Coordinators assigned and will have the chance to work acrossallenke'soperational and programmatic work. This is a developmental role that will give extensive experience in general office administration, project administration, financialadministrationand exposure toenke'snetworks and may lead to future opportunities within theorganisation. As anorganisationthat supports grassroots community development, candidates should ideally be South African and be able to communicate in English and at least 2 other official languages.

Outline of ResponsibilitiesTheenkeProject Internship is designed to give the individual an opportunity to work across multiple parts of the organization and engage in various projects.
- Assistwith the preparation andlogisticsofenke'skey program activities.
- Coordinate and support the running of project events such as training retreats.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation of programs and compilation of reports. Liaisewithvolunteers,ifnecessary.
The areas of responsibility are as follows:
General Office Administration- Office administration and reception
- Printing and photocopying
- Office calendar updates (meetings,new staffetc)
- General filing and office upkeep (keeping the space neat, packing / unpacking as needed)
- Administration andlogisticsfor events and activities inenke'sprograms
- Attend and contribute to the planning andorganisationofenke: Make Your Mark events
- Available toassistwith other responsibilities to advance theorganisation'sgoals and mission
- Work with relevantenke: Make Your Mark departments to develop growth opportunities
- Provide other administrative support as needed
- Tertiary education or currently studying (distance learning or part time)
- Have never held a full-time position before and preferably have notparticipatedona learnership or internship before.
- Live within50 kmsfrom our offices/site, which is situated at (Address).
- Are not currently full-time studies and able to attend this internship full-time.
- Are willing to be subjected to a credit and criminal check or any industry specific checksrequiredfor your job role.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to speak at least two other South African languages fluently.
- Evidence of active engagement within a university or community context (e.g.volunteering, membership in societies or positions of office or active engagement within your community or community projects)
- Excellent written communication skills, presentationskillsand interpersonal skills
- Highproficiencyin Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Experience using social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter,WhatsAppetc.)
- High personal standards and willingness to go beyond expectations;
- High levelof attention to detail
- Passion for working with young people, a pro-active energy and an outgoing personality will be most suitable for this role
- Ability to work independently as well as an integral member of a team
- Ability to work full-time, as well as evenings and weekends. Please note that due to the age-group of participants in our post-school programs, extensive evening and weekend work should be expected
- Valid driver's license will be an advantage but not essential
