IT Systems Engineer

Our client is looking for a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer in Fourways to design, deploy, and maintain secure, high-performance infrastructure supporting digital gaming platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, streamline deployments, and enhance security through automation and innovation. This role suits a proactive engineer passionate about optimizing systems and staying ahead of evolving technology trends.

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, high-availability infrastructure for gaming platforms.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply system optimizations.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment efficiency.
• Implement strong security measures and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and audits.

• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration abilities.

• Matric (NQF 4) and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Gaming Compliance with SANS Standards (Parts 13) is advantageous.
• Proven experience in systems engineering, automation, and cybersecurity best practices.
